For more than 45 years, Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá has set itself the goal of focusing on the health and well-being of the patient. To achieve this, it has developed services of excellence based on modern infrastructure and advanced technology, but also the daily, professional and human work of a specialized multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and health assistants.

This university hospital has 237 inpatient beds, built with the patient and their environment in mind.

The center has bilingual health professionals who accompany the patient 24 hours a day. But they are not the only ones: The concept is that family members or caregivers have to be close by to accompany the loved one during treatment and recovery or rehabilitation.

This integration between sophisticated technology and the human touch is one of the reasons why Fundación Santa Fe stands out for its excellence.

Within its wide range of services, the hospital has innovative operating rooms, an Adult Intensive Care Unit with 40 beds, and a Pediatric Care Unit with 8 beds. For newborns who need special care, the mother and child area has 12 beds in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with a pioneering model in Colombia: Unlike traditional units, it has ample spaces where parents can be with their baby throughout the day.

Standing at an advanced present, but also looking to the future, the academic hospital has an area of high specialization in joint replacements, robotic surgery and neoplasms of the peritoneum. For these interventions, the center has been accredited by the Joint Commission International in nine of its clinical care centers, among others, for its prestigious work with stroke, shoulder, hip and knee joint replacements.

And another alliance that demonstrates that the work of excellence brings results is the one that the hospital has with Johns Hopkins University for the education of doctors and nurses.

In 2017, and in its 13 operating rooms, the hospital performed 12,000 surgeries. Between January and August 2018 there were 8,543. It is a constant work, which never stops, to be a daily protagonist of the growth of the health system in Colombia and at an international level.

The patient satisfaction rating was 93%, based on the 2016 hospital survey. And it reached 94% in hospital admissions in the same year.
